Fatty is back from his week-long alpine skiing trip. I am discovering that when I am on vacation, all I really like to do is sleep. I will start taking more vacations at home. It is a lot cheaper. Anyway, this trip was cool. I did not do a lot of skiing, but there was sure a lot of partying. My school shuts down for a week because of this trip. About 650 students go. We went to a resort on the France-Swiss border to a resort called Avoriaz. It was right in the Alps. I can't say I did alpine skiing, but the baby slopes are in the alps right? The Fatty highlight was when I ventured off the baby slopes and found I still needed to learn how to stop and turn. I quickly found out that skiing down the slope was not in my abilities. I took off my skis and hiked down, but ended up lost because I just headed down the mountain instead of looking at my map (Oh I didn't have one). Anyway, I walked all the way down the mountain and had to take two buses and a cable car back to the resort. Talk about off-piste! That four hour run didn't do too much for my love of skiing.

That is hilarious, Fatty. I just can't picture you in that scenario. You'll have to re-enact it for us when you come back and visit GR. I know what you mean about champagne though. On New Years, Heather did the same thing: she said how she didn't like it, then started swilling it anyway. She ended up drunk off her ass, insulting the host of the party, and spending an hour clinging to the toilet bowl at home. Luckily, no Frenchmen we harmed that night either.

So Fatty, what is the status of your GR trip? I was thinking of visiting GR one weekend while you're in town, possibly even taking a day off work to do so. What weekend would be best?
