Fatty update. Its been awhile, but things are going fine. I?ll give you some highlights?..

The nightlife here is pretty awesome on Friday and Saturday evenings. I went out during the week and was not too impressed. But on the weekend, watch out! Budapest has these very large, outdoor bar/discos along the river. They start to get packed after midnight and stay open until 5am. They are jammed with hottie-bo-fotties. I don?t know why GR does not do this?.. These places are in the city and open only in the summer. It is the best way to hang out, fresh air, not smokey, not all hot and sweaty.

I took a long and sweaty train ride to Lake Balaton, the largest lake in Europe. Spent the day there to cool off. It has been hot here and we don?t have AC. I know, that?s crazy talk! I also went to a couple of Hungarian Baths or Spas ? these are pretty fancy pools, I just went to swim. My favorite way to beat the heat is to go to the big malls. There is one where all the hot chicks go. Its fabulous! The hot weather brings out the skimpiest outfits! And no, I am not going to photograph any. It is just too hard to get a good picture and not be too obvious. Plus my camera does not have the zoom required. I saw a guy with the correct camera set up take a hoochie shot, and well, I don?t want to be that guy. A little too sleazy.

Did more touristy stuff and learned more about Hungary. Pretty much, it has a long and rich history some of which predates history. Powerful empire sometimes, got invaded many times. Got involved with the Germans in WWI, got butt-raped by the Allied powers and gave away most of its land. Was taken over by Germany again in WWII and this time the Allied folks were wise and took them from the Nazis and gave them to the Soviets. Many terrible years of communism until 1990. I went to the Terror Museum. This was the actual building the Nazis then the Commies used to interrogate, torture and kill people. It was in use until 1956. Most of Budapest has been rebuilt from WWII and it is pretty spectacular. The pic is of me in the Parliamentary chamber getting ready to take the floor with some Fatty legislation.

I am taking a boat ride down the Danube tomorrow, then on Monday I am off to Prague. I will see if the McDonald workers are all supermodels as the Bone once suggested.
