The picture doesn't make it look too bad, but if you click on it, you'll see the detail... and it's still not awful, but considering how much in love with this vehicle I am (thanks, Bert!), it's still distressing. The fender will surely need to be replaced, and probably the bumper, too.
The story: driving down a one-way, two-lane street in downtown GR... girl in white Bonneville in left lane in front of me turns on right turn signal, moves into right lane, as if slowing down to park. Swerb accelerates to pass her. Then, suddenly, white Bonneville inexplicably veers into left lane. Swerb's brakes lock up, and she sideswipes him, nearly pushing the dear Acura into a parked car. Insurance will cover it, and I won't have to pay the deductible because it's her fault, but still, I have the hassle of taking it in to be fixed, not to mention having to drive a crappy-ass rental car (that surely lacks the acceleration abilities Swerb has become accustomed to) for who knows how long.
GodDAMNit!!!
