I just know that tank-top is buried somewhere in his luggage waiting to make a re-appearance.

Good lord, that's the anti-Fatty. I remember those days and I was just as thin if you can believe that.

In this picture he reminds me a little of Hilary Swank in that Boys Don't Cry movie.

That is fantastic! I even like that he has the Iron Man watch, it rounds out his baddassery.

Heather mentioned that his hairdo is the same one her father had in the 70s.

Oh, and let's not forget about the "Date Rape 'Stache'...

This was probably taken at time of Fatty's Run DMC phase which would explain the Bad Ass silver Mercedes madalion. It's a shame he's not wearing his white Gazelles - Those were F'n sweet!

I can't explain the silver Butt Chum ring though. I don't recall that accessory.

We need to figure out a way to get this photo into his wedding without him knowing...

...which has been made infinitely harder to accomplish since he'll probably read your post, Bert!

Wow - I think I shit turds bigger than that now.  In fact, I think that is a picture of a turd I shit so hard, it went back in time.  It got a photo taken just to show me where it ended up.

I got nothing - no rebukes can be made.... the hair, cookie-duster, tank-top, necklace, ring???  I think that is from a girlfriend - how I had one is a great question.

Well - I'd like to suggest a old photo page where we all post crappy pictures of us when we were 15-16.  I should not be the only one to bare this cross.  I'll bet Bells, Bert, and Zilla all have some winners.  Bone - well fuck the Bone.  I am sure his is straight from Glamour Shots.

I had a pic of the Bone and myself when I was 18 and he was 16. I looked like a skinny turd and the Bone..... well lets just say fuck the Bone.

I think he looks like a member of the Pet Shop Boys or Frankie Goes to Hollywood

Despite being superdorky, Fatty shows serious potential to have a sweet build. He's much leaner than I was at that age. With a serious workout ethic, Fatty could have had the sweetest build of all. Too bad Mr. Fabulous seduced him to the dark side.

Bone - that is easy to say from your position of better genetics.  You seem to forget - Starting at age 15 (getting serious at 16) I worked out very consistently.  I did have a body fat percentage of 4%, but that was not very healthy.  I could not absorb fat then, and had that problem until my mid-20s.  I weighted the same 135 until age 20-21.  Despite my working out, the malabsorbtion problem would not allow me to put on muscle.  I seem to take on fat fine now.  But, even with a stellar workout ethic, I resign myself to never being able to have a sweet build.  Thats not to say I have given up on health and fitness.  I have stopped imagining myself with a large, muscled body.  I am just not made that way.  A realistic view of myself could be a lean and trim dude with big arms and shoulders, but a small chest.  I will forever be an endomorph and that cannot change.  I am still wanting to get better and lose weight.  It is happening slowly.  I do walk a lot more in Budapest and I am watching my portions.  The best thing is the majority of my meals are homemade - much healthier.  I just have to cut down on the drinking now!!

Actually dude, I'm saying you have the sweeter genetics. I have always had fat tendancies. I just tighten my eating up and work my ass off when I start to swing to the fat side.

Given your frame and gentetics, I'd be getting some bitches.

Yeah Bone, I'm sure you're hurtin for bitches these days...

From: John Entered on: September 19, 2006 11:16 PM
Bone, you're a mesomorph pure and simple. Your genetics for building muscle exceeds everyone on JA.

Blah blah blah. Fatty was built like Ryan Reynolds from Van Wilder, due to eating habits and a twinge of laziness he failed to realize his potential. Before: http://www.screencaptures.net/r/reynolds16.jpg After: http://www.ryanreynolds.tv/gallery/displayimage.php?album=7&pos=11 Fuck off bitches. His build is sweet as fuck.

Yea, another good example of scrawny to brawny is Carrot Top. Check out his before and after.

How about this pic of Carrot Top - not from Creeko' archive of homoerotica and bestiality.

Fatty and Roche squadndered their gift of sweet genetics. At best I'm an endo-mesomorphe with fat tendancies. I have the shittiest genetics of anyone here.

I might take the Pepsi Challenge with you on that one, Bone.  Just a couple months of sedentary life easily pile the pounds onto me, as you could see by the pics from a couple months ago.

I'm not going to go the full Roche cop-out route and say your genetics are sweet, therefore your build is sweet and discount the much more important factor of hard work.  But I think my genetics are easily giving me fat power in excess of either you or Roche.

Roche doesn't even really have fat tendencies, as far as I can tell!  He just eats every meal like it's his last, and does it with gusto and no shame whatsoever.  It doesn't take a rocket surgeon to solve that equation.

From: The Bone Entered on: September 21, 2006 3:33 PM

I agree Bert. I think you and I have similar fat growing potential. If I don't work out and eat ok, I'll soften up. If I don't work out and eat shit, I'll pork right on up.

On the other hand, Roche has to work hard at being fat. When he came to visit, we were eating fairly shitty by my standards, but somehow Roche attempted to eat the same volume as myself. He said it was far less than his normal amount, but I was stuffed after almost every meal. He even lost weight.

From: John Entered on: September 21, 2006 10:21 PM

I'm certainly not discounting the fact that you worked your ass off, Bone. Lets get one thing straight though, you were lean and had thick muscle as a teen. I wouldn't call that shitty genetics. Bert on the other hand was plump in his teens. To compare your genetics to Bert is absurd. Bert is an endomorph that has for the better part of ten years fought off the fat. Bone on the other hand is a mesomorph. Even a mesomorph can fatten up with too much eating and lack of activity. I was an ectomorph and thanks to over eating I've fattened up. Point is eating too much and being sedentary can make any body style get fat. One more thing, I don't work hard at being fat. It's hard work for me to cut back on my consumtion because when I do I'm perpetually hungry. I've cut back for months at a time and it never gets better, but that's another story.

I would also like to say Fatty was never built like Ryan Reynolds even when he was thin. Their body shapes were quite a bit different. Fatty's shoulders are more narrow, his chest flatter and his taper isn't similar so I don't know wtf you're talking about, Bone.

From: The Bone Entered on: September 21, 2006 10:35 PM

Iwasn't ever lean as kid.

As for Fatty and Ryan Reynolds - they aren't exactly but when I typed "16 yr old Fatty look-a-like" in google, I didn't get shit.

I never claim Bert had sweet genetics. In fact, I was most impressed when he did get trim.

From: John Entered on: September 21, 2006 11:27 PM

Dude, as a teen you most certainly were lean. I've known you for 19 years and you were never even close to fat. Maybe one of the years you were gone you "softened up" ,but it was brief. I met you when you were almost 14 and you were husky but your abs were lean.

The funny thing is when I met you I wanted to be husky like you and you wanted to thinner. Most people for whatever reason want to be what they're not. The fact that you had a thicker build has now turned into I was on the precipice of being fat and that my friend is BS. That fact that you naturally carry quite a bit of muscle weight esp. in your legs has helped burn calories and kept you from getting fat when you were young. Now I agree you need to work harder because of your age but I still disagree with " I have the shittiest genetics of anyone here" comment.

I don't even know what to say about Bone's comments.  He is crazy.  I think he is just talking shit because he is bored.  First, he currently has a sweet build AND works his ass off to maintain it.  Shit, most people have to work their ass off to maintain a sweet build - you don't see movie stars walking around all sweet all the time - they train very hard for the role then stop.  Same for bodybuilders and athletes.

It cracks me up that Bone doesn't even listen to a response, but comes back with a comment that he completely makes up.  I don't see how being sickly skinny equates to having a sweet build later.  Pulling once skinny celebs who are now sweet really means nothing.  Carrot top is a true male butter-face.  I don't care how sweet his body is, how can a girl get past that head??

As far as who has the biggest tendancy for fatness?  Well, that is a function of genetics, habits, and enironment.  Ross was fat long ago, but he his now mature individual and I don't think his body reacts the same as it did 10 years ago - much like mine or Johnny's.  Just the 2 weeks I have been in Budapest, I've lost some LBs - having to take in my belt another notch.  It is from walking more and eating better.  When you get fat, it is my understanding that your body changes - the fat cells enlarge and you even create more fat cells the fatter you get.  When you lose weight, you shrink the the fat cells, but, the new ones don't go away.  This is one of the reasons you yo-yo back so quickly.

The sweeter genetics thing???  Well, it depends on what you consider sweet.  Some of us are made to be lean and trim whilst others are more large and muscled.  Any one of us could reach our personal genentic frontier with a lot of work.  The Bone is the only one that is doing that currently, but Bert did that years ago on the Bill Phillips program.  But then again, if you work out to build muscle, you will look different than if you do cardio.  The best shape of my life was when I was 27ish and I did a summer of biking and running.  I got down to 160 and had a bit of abs.  The rest of me was skinny as well - no ripped, bulging muscles then.  I looked good, but not very manly.  I am not sure if I want that look again, I'd rather have more muscle than trimness - but of course no be fat.

We will see how the Euro lifestyle affects Fatty.  I hope to slim down to around 180 and be happy there.  Going down to 160 again seems too thin for this cowboy!

Ah, I'm loving this - a return to the old school days of true Jackassery!

My 2 cents is that I don't really know who's right - I do tend to think, though, that if you are able to put any fat on at all, that you're likely to think that you have a super-propensity for it.  I know for a "flying fact" (Rochespeak) that my body likes to accumulate fat more than the average guy.  But I think the key point here is that you will never hear me bitching about it!  I only mention it when it gets brought up by others.  I do not let it serve as an excuse for sloppiness.  Right now, I'm sloppier than I've been in many years, and I have no excuse.  Thinking for more than one second about my genetic lot in life is a loser move, doesn't even bear a mention.  Not even the mention! (Bonespeak)

So let's forget about that.  Let's give props to Bone for having powers not of genetics, but of will.  That's what matters most in my book.

What Fatty says about environment is true in my case.

In Spain I eat with reckless abandon and sit around on my ass all day. As soon as I got to the US I started packing on the pounds at an alarming rate. I would not be exaggerating if I said I've put on 10lbs. in one month - mostly due to the fact that I eat out every single day. I do refrain from any chain restaurants and generally eat healthy meals (fresh fish and lean meats) no fried foods and no desserts. My biggest problem is portion size, I have a tendency to eat what's on my plate and American sized portions are BIG, but another thing I think could be affecting me is my eating schedule. I used to eat a decent lunch at 14:00 and a light dinner around 22:00, now I'm eating a light lunch at 11:30 and BIG dinner at 18:00. I think my metabolism is all screwed up.

Hopefully I'll get back on the program when I get back home.

Once again I'm not overlooking the Bones hard work, all I'm saying is his comment about shitty genetics is preposterous. In my opinion the Bone has good genetics and works his ass off, the combination has resulted in a sweet build.
