Okay, my bad. I stole that from a Nine Inch Nails lyric. Make your own:

You guys ought to get a kick out of this site:

Do they make PETT carriers for that kind of bullshit, too? I particularly like the part I read about snakes having legs: http://www.godsaidmansaid.com/topic3.asp?Cat2=262&I

Funny aside: I was just watching the Woody Allen movie Deconstructing Harry, and Woody plays an atheist... one memorable line of dialogue that cracked me up - it was in the context of discussing science and religion: "Nothing's wrong with science. Ya know, between air conditioning and the Pope, I'll take air conditioning."

Actually I believe the tard on that site is correct - snakes' ancestors did have legs, and if I'm not mistaken, some still have tiny vestigial ones.

What's truly ridiculous is that in this particular example he uses evolutionists to bolster his point, but in much of the rest of the site, he says they're full of crap.

Yeah, I'm aware of the snake-legs thing, but the fact that they selectively use scientific research and evidence is especially appalling - kind of like how people selectively follow the teachings of the Bible. Hipocrisy at its worst...

By the way, you should pick up the new issue of Discover, Bert, if you haven't already... there's a really interesting profile story about Richard Dawkins. It focuses on how he sees religion and science to be irreconcilable, and how that pisses off people within the scientific community to an extent. The article labels him "Darwin's Rottweiler." I love the guy, just because he goes for the jugular, and he doesn't mince his words or EVER hesitate to point out hipocrisy or stupidity... I don't know if I disagree with anything he says. I really need to read more of his stuff... have you read The Ancestor's Tale yet?

Indeed! It's great, but very long. Toward the end it really becomes more of a biology lesson as he's describing ancestors that are so old that we have limited information about what they were like and how they lived. So not everyone would read the whole book, and I think it's purposely written that way. But it's quite an entertaining read. If you want to borrow my copy, just let me know.

I'll have to pick up Discover. I do love me some Dawkins, as Roche might say (if he had occasion to say anything here).
