This was on the latest episode of Family Guy, which of course had me howling with laughter.

What's really weird is that the title of this episode is "Petarded" - because we find out that Peter is retarded. It is simply uncanny that Roche used the exact same joke calling me "Bertarded" at least 10 hours before this episode aired.

Yeah, I literally JUST got done watching the episode. Coincidence? I think so.

Speaking of creationists (originally), this link is quite long, but it's a college professor explanaining to a "comparative physiologist" why the salinity of plasma of humans and most other animals is closer to freshwater than salt water. It sounds like a boring topic but the guy is super sweet in his answer. You don't have to read every detail but he really outlines some great facts about animals in the course of his explanation. It becomes very clear that humans are basically freshwater animals that happen to live on land.
All I know is that after reading his answer, it becomes apparent to any rational person that evolution is extremely well supported.

I have to say that this little blog entry was enthralling to me. As the author says, it's basically pop sociology that he's engaging in, but I found this to be very engaging and informative. It's called "If Only People Read the Bible the Way They Read Contracts" - all about the history of how people thought about how they knew what was true or false.

Zilla(h) -
Did you realize that you have a Biblical name? Except you're a beyotch! Check out Genesis 4:19:
Interestingly, Zillah's husband Lamech had two wives, the other was named Adah. So what I infer from all this is that according to the Bible, you need to move one town over.

Wanna get depressed? Read the Economist on the Religious Right:

This is a sweet article by the Guardian, about religion's detriment to society, as evidenced by the recent attacks in London. Something like this could NEVER get published in a major US publication:

Jack may be ranked slightly below Peter after the Fazoli's incidence
