Well, here's the first official shot of Superman from the new movie. That dude has some big ass legs. Anyway, I'm only somewhat excited to see this, mainly because Bryan Singer is doing it. But I can't say that this suit looks bad, really.

DUDE! I was SO just going to post this!

Yeah, I've been getting excited about this one I must admit. The suit isn't too bad. The red is kinda dark, ain't it? I don't need bright, cherry red, but still. And I wish the "S" shield were bigger.

What a nit-picking fanboy I am. I can't wait actually!

per the article:

Following a mysterious absence of several years, the Man of Steel comes back to Earth in the epic action-adventure Superman Returns, a soaring new chapter in the saga of one of the world's most beloved superheroes. While an old enemy plots to render him powerless once and for all, Superman faces the heartbreaking realization that the woman he loves, Lois Lane, has moved on with her life. Or has she? Superman's bittersweet return challenges him to bridge the distance between them while finding a place in a society that has learned to survive without him. In an attempt to protect the world he loves from cataclysmic destruction, Superman embarks on an epic journey of redemption that takes him from the depths of the ocean to the far reaches of outer space.

That actually sounds kind of cool - sort of like The Dark Knight Returns, but for Superman. So are they going to follow with the continuity of the previous films (unlike Batman, thank god)? That would be okay, but let's pretend Superman III and IV never happened - how about if it just left off after II?

Actually, that's exactly the plan, Bert. Singer is a big fan of the first two movies and is placing this continuity-wise some time after II. He's ignoring III and IV.

This is Fatz - Zilla's computer has auto password so I can't log in as me. ANYWHO, this guy kinda reminds me of a Buff Bob Sagat, so I am not too impressed. I am Meh on the whole deal. Lets hope it is good so it will be a pleasant surprise and no Elektra.

The story sounds sweet - pretty much sounds exactly like my own story. The guy on the other hand doesn't impress me, neither does the suit. However, Brian Singer is sweet so I'll reserve judgement untill I see the final product.

The new Superman Returns trailer is out!  And dare I say, it looks sweet!

I especially like the flying scenes, they're the most realistic I've yet seen.  Optimism is growing, here.

Kevin Spacey as Luthor looks to be pretty good, he will probably end up stealing the movie.  Lois is much hotter than Margot Kidder, too.  Though I'm sure we could start religious debates on whether she's better or worse than Smallville Lois.

I still don't like his costume - the cape and neckline area are wrong, and the S symbol is too small.  But overall, he makes for a decent Supes, IMO.

Kevin Spacey reminded me of Gene Hackman so much that at times I thought it was Hackman. I wonder if this was intentional or I'm imagining things.

Bone - You're imagining things.

Superman Returns is looking pretty sweet though!

I can't wait. What a summer of movies with the DaVinci Code, X-Men, and Superman.
