I find it extremely disturbing that the current administration is trying very hard to remove the checks and balances established by our founding fathers. They are trying to pass a law restricting the practice of "filibustering" in judicial nominations. For a minority group in congress, a filibuster is the only way to prevent a law from being passed. Like Bert has said before, rule by the majority does not equal a democracy.

In fact, our Constitution is set up to protect the minority, not the majority. The only part where majority rule comes into play is during elections. That's it. People don't seem to get it.
