The release of this super-sweet looking game kinda snuck up on us! It's too bad Fatty will be missing this -- The demo gave him wood a few months ago! I guess JohnnyBells and I will have to play this our lonesome on the 5.1 Dolby 65-inch Super-Sized ZillaSystem...

I suppose we have to do what we must in the interest of the true gamer. It does look pretty sweet. Too bad Fatty went French on our asses because this is his brand for sure.

That's right, immersing oneself in a sea of hot college chicks and getting into Indiana Jones style adventures in a foreign land is not nearly as exciting as sitting on a couch playing video games with barbecue sauce on ones shirt.

Hahahahahahahaha! Oh shit, I just laughed so hard I got barbecue sauce on my own shirt... I guess I'll be playing this one too.

Speaking of particular brands of justice, Zillas favorite brand, Burn Out 3, will be out in Sept. It's being hyped as being way sweeter than even the highly anticipated GT4 for PS2 or Forza Motorsport for the Xbox, which are supposedly the big driving guns for each platform. I must admit, I am also a fan of the Burn Out series.

DAMN RIGHT, CREEKO!
After Halo 2, I must admit that BURNOUT 3 is what I'm most anxious to get my filthy little paws on. EA has taken over publishing the series (but it has the same developers) so I expect great things. I've caught a couple video demos of it and it looks sweet! You get to race against more cars and now you are encouraged to use your car as a weapon against other drivers (run them off the road and such). Arcade racers rule, sweet CRASHES are a MUST: BURNOUT does it all the best!

Barbecue sauce tastes good. Bone, I don't know if I'd go as far as Indiana Jones like adventures, but yes, Fatty is having more adventure then my family raising, video game playing, hanging out with Zilla ass. Did you have to rub my nose in it as if it were a shitty diaper?

Oooh... that RIDDICK game comes out soon too! And judging from the demo I played it's gonna be SWEET!

Is it based on THE CHRONICLES OF RIDDICK? That looks like it may have potential as an entertaining flick.

Bone - Yeah, it's based on the new movie (a prequel to Pitch Black which I liked... the only Vin movie I've seen!).
But... wait... shouldn't you be out doing some Indiana Jones-style adventuring? No? Well then: Don't forget the BBQ sauce!

After a long day of whuping ass, surfing giant waves, battling sharks, fornicating with my woman and climbing mountains, I like to mellow out with a little gaming or sometimes pornography.

Is it fornicating if you're married?

Technically no, but it sounds kinda cool. Something Mike Tyson would say.

IGN reviewed the new RIDDICK game and gives it an 8.5 (which is a great mark for them). I was hoping for multi-player, but no luck apparently. Here's the end of the review:
Closing Comments
The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay is an excellent hybrid of first-person shooting, adventure and RPG elements, stealth and combat. What's even more impressive is that Vivendi Universal Games and Starbreeze were able to put a creative, original game out that's not been created in a movie box, like so many other awful games based on licenses. The equal blend of game elements is superbly crafted, and I am honestly surprised at how much I enjoyed the stealth and hand-to-hand combat.
Still, if you consider a 10-12 hour game short, then Riddick is just that. But I doubt you'll complete every mission or collect every cigarette pack the first time through, so there is incentive to play it a second time. Also, because the game saves at each checkpoint, you can start it up from any checkpoint in the game. Nifty.
While Riddick is an impressive hybrid, and it's also a unique looking game, bolstered by excellent graphics and top-notch technology, the game's biggest bummer is its lack of multiplayer options. I SOOO badly want to play this online it hurts. In a genre that's inherently defined with multiplayer online missions, and on a console that's now defined by its superior online capabilities, Riddick's lack of multiplayer options is a huge bummer. As one editor at IGN has been heard saying, "WHAT THE DEVIL???!!!!"
Still, would I buy this -- knowing it's only a single-player game? Oh yes, indeed.

I'm back. Just got done reading about FULL SPECTRUM WARRIOR, which continues to sound sweet EXCEPT for one thing. The game has you controlling two teams: alpha and beta. There IS a co-op (where each player controls a team) but it's only available with Xbox Live. There's no System Link. WHAT THE FRICK!?!? Now, why did they have to go and fornicate the process? Ass clowns.
Oh well... it still looks like a kick ass single player game.

I played RIDDICK last night for a couple hours on the Mega-ZillaStation: SWEET ASS GAME! Aren't big licensed games s'posed to stink? Not this one. It hasn't gotten too hard, there's frequent save spots and it has a cool story (You listenin', Bert?). Plus there's gore galore and profanity-O-plenty! Gravy! Play this one LOUD kids, it'll startle you in spots!
By the way, did anyone else ever play BREAKDOWN? I thought that was a cool game too (I gotta get back to it though -- I got stuck pretty far into it).
Now to get FULL SPECTRUM WARRIOR... that should be the cat's pajamas too!

I just started playing Riddick: FUCKING SWEET, you're right. I'm loving it. In fact, I have Full Spectrum Warrior also and I'm not even going to bother with it until I get sick of Riddick.

Say no more, Rosstastic: It's 11 PM and JohnnyBells just came over to play RIDDICK tonight -- We've only been playing it ALL DAY LONG. The difficulty level is just right so far too.

OK that sucked. Yesterday the game kept freezing on us (I think because it was warm and the xbox had been on all day). When we started to play last night my gamesave was corrupted (!!!). So Mr. Bells and I spent 3+ hours getting back to where we left off. But it was still fun the 2nd time around! RIDDICK is pure GAMING GRAVY!

So can you play cooperatively? How far are you guys? I haven't had any lockups yet but I might not have been as far if you were playing all day. But yeah, this game is really fun. Like you said, it's a good mix of difficulty with plentiful save points. Actually, it's a touch on the easy side, but after playing Far Cry on the PC (one of the toughest games I've played), I'm not complaining.

Dudes! You are killing me. I want to hear about Full Spectrum Warrior. Thomas has not found it yet, and I am waiting for a review.

No, the only co-op mode is Bells and I taking turns. It's fun to play AND watch! Currently I'm at level 21: Upper Mines and at a bit of a loss at what to do. That Robo-cop robot wannabe scares the shit out of me though! Perhaps I should turn the receiver volume down (I have it set at 11 of course).
Sorry Fats, I haven't got Full Spectrum yet... too busy with RIDDICK anyway! That's next though! Dude - you coming home this summer or what?!

Look Fats, Riddick would slaughter an entire platoon of FSW dudes. He's a badass.
I think I might be fairly close to where you are, Jack. I'm in the mines but I haven't found the guy who runs the show yet. I've just gotten the tranq gun. Actually the spot I'm at is kind of hard to get past. But I'll be back at it tonight!
Screw Full Stanktrom Warturd - a review I read said that you never even directly pull the trigger (ie shoot anyone yourself) in the game!
Where's the tranq gun!?!? I'm at the spot where I have to take out some sharpshooter to get his keycard.
Riddick is BAADAASSSSS!!! Johnny and I just giggle with giddy delight over his vicious visceral antics.

Fuck you guys - Thats it, I booked my ticket - get your pens out and write this shite down. I come to GR on Monday AUG 23 at about 5pm and leave Thursday Sept 9 at 6:20pm. No stop in Chicago Ross, Sorry.
Bone - you've got plenty of time to get that time off. I expect a showing. You've got time, you've got cash. Fuck - I've been travelling the world and have not worked for 1 1/2 years. Bring the wife - BUT you are gaming my friend.
This is costing me a bit, so we better have fun. I'll see what this Riddick is all about.
You're just a bit behind me then, Jack. Real close, though.
Fatty - I marked it down on my calendar. Knowing you, though, this process is bound to be highly fornicated before it actually happens.

Well Muffin and I had plans to go to Alaska in August. It probably won't be difficult to change her mind. I mean, why would she want to hike in a beautiful area surrounded by wildlife, raft down flowing rivers, and camp under clear starry skies when she could sit and watch a bunch of grown men play video games whilst dribbling barbecue sauce on their shirts?
But - my friend, It always works out in the end! Enjoy the journey. The fornication just makes a boring journey a bit more dramatic - AND it makes for good stories afterward.

Fatty - late August?! LATE AUGUST?!! That's the BEST you can do?! Shit negro, we'll be treating Riddick like the blind, red-headed step-child of Brute Force by then!
Oh well... I'm sure we'll have Halo still!
My calendar is duly marked (well not really -- I ain't scuffin' up my Stuff calendar!) See ya then!

I played a demo of SHADOW OPS: RED MERCURY this weekend and it's a pretty cool FPS. There's a main single-player campaign, two-player co-op missions (YAY!) and splitscreen/system link deathmatch modes. The game is kind of a BLACKHAWK DOWN situation with you're thrown into one hell of a messy situation. The demo controlled good, showed lots of cool shooting and explosions... Looks like another sweet game (coming out this month!) Plus SPIDER-MAN 2 out late this month is sure to rock my lobster!

FULL SPECTRUM WARRIOR thoughts:
Well, I finally got it yesterday (compliments of Princess Rob) and I ended up playing for 3 hours (by myself, which I haven't done much of lately)! I swear the training and opening walk-thru mission alone took 2 hours. So far, I really dig it! It's super realistic and requires some real thought and strategy as to the movement of your men. If you just haphazardly start walking into streets you WILL get your men killed. Injuries are allowed, but if any of your 8 guys are killed the mission is failed. The controls work quite well for all you can do too.
This one will be right up BigFatty's alley!
Between this and RIDDICK (which I made a little more progress with too), my potatoes are just covered in gaming gravy!

I BEAT RIDDICK'S ASS!!!
Add another gaming feather to my cap! I know Johnny-Bullwinkle will be mad, but I finished it tonight by myself. This game was SWEET! Never too difficult, never dull, cool weapons and attacks, sweet level-design, awesome lighting effects... even some sweet-like-ninja, over-the-top destruction toward the end! Thumbs!
Now back to FULL SPECTRUM WARRIOR, of which I'm on the 6th mission and progressing nicely.
Is anyone else playing games around here?
