Forget the Mountain Dew xbox... THIS IS SWEETER! It comes out mid-April for $169.95 bundled with Halo. Supposedly, it really will be in limited supply. I may have to get me one of these babies and make it the NEW ZILLABOX! It's like the Mountain Dew and Crystal xbox combined!

Pre-order here kiddies: http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/product/242826.asp

You know you want it.

That's pretty good. You're actually getting a sweeter paint job for $10 off, since Halo retails for $30. If I wanted another xbox, I'd try to get one.

from xboxscene and teamxbox.com:

Microsoft Corp. today announced the a limited-edition retail special featuring the Xbox video game system and all-time Xbox best-seller HALO for only $169. Shipping to U.S. retailers April 13, the coveted combo features a special "Halo"-branded, green Xbox console and "Halo" jeweled controller with a copy of the game. However, only the best and brightest - or at least the fastest - fans will taste the glory: Just 200,000 of the boxed sets are available.

Well, it didn't take long for this sucker! I pre-ordered mine from EBgames... $169.95 + free 2-day shipping + no tax (!?!?). Only 199,999 left!!!

I have an Xbox question, Jack: Can I change the color of the green ring around the eject button? The rosstation has a similar blue ring around its power button, I thought it would be cool to have them match. I know they can turn red when there are errors so it stands to reason that there are more colors. But what do I know?

Ross - I think the only colors available on the reset switch are orange, yellow and... green maybe? There's no blue. There's guys out there changing the colors with hardware mods though. So it's possible, just depends on how bad you want to barbie that thing up! I kinda like the mods for lighting up the jewel myself.
