Palin's Resignation
Entered on: July 6, 2009 1:24 PM by Ross

So what does everyone make of it?  What's her real rationale?  It's just a bizarre thing to happen... is she bowing out because she doesn't like the negative media attention or is she, as some say, taking off time to prepare for a presidential bid?  If so, that would be insane in my opinion but then again the American public never ceases to depress me due to its politics.

I am with Bunky on this one.  It is way too strange to go out now.  Unless there is some super-plan to make her uber sweet by the next election.  Some sort of Republican boot camp were they are creating the super-candidate syrum (sp?? screw spellcheck!).  Maybe she realized what a douche she is and felt this 15 minutes was enough.

I just read a good summary by Andrew Sullivan:

"Can we all be grown up for a minute and concede something very simple? There are three explanations for the latest circus act: either Sarah Palin is so crazy she actually believes that what she just did is good for her political career; she has decided that her future is as a celebreality star and she's pursuing the lucrative Coulter-style, long legs and fascist farrago strategy; or, a scandal of monumental proportions is about to hit."
