I don't know how many of the Halo fans out there take advantage of the theater feature (saving screenshots and movies), but I was saving some things the other day and suddenly got a warning on my screen: "You can only have 100 custom items, and you're coming close to that limit." Apparently that includes custom maps, screenshots, movies, game types, etc. I started moving a few things to memory card, but that takes forever when you can only copy one at a time.
Since all screenshots are saved to your online Bungie page (up to 30 I believe), I figured I didn't need to save any screenshots since I could get them online. But if I wanted to have more than 30 screenshots saved, I need a way to save them to my computer.
So I wrote a program that will use your gamertag and automatically download any pictures from your online profile. It won't download anything it has already saved. So if you run it today and it saves 30 images, and you add 5 more tonight and run it again, it just grabs the 5 new ones and adds them to a local folder on your computer. The cool thing it does is save the information about the picture (date/time, game type, name, description, a link to the stats for that game, and links to three different resolutions for that image).
I'm still working on the user interface part, but the 'download and save' part works great. With new content just around the corner, I thought others might be looking for a way to save more than 30 screenshots. It will also free up space for more movies on your XBOX.
If you're interested, let me know and I'll send you a link to the installer for it. The only requirement for the software is to have the Microsoft .NET framework 2.0, which you probably already have if you have XP or Vista. |

Damn, I feel stupid when talking to people on this site. We have people who can write programs, kill people by touching 3 key points in their body, debate you into submission, multi-millionairs.... oh, and I like to do drawings.

And don't ever consider the ability to draw any less important or difficult than anything else. I can teach you how to write programs. You can show me how to draw, but that doesn't mean I can learn it. :) Besides, without artists, Jack's shop would be 1/3 smaller, and Edge would have a big pile of money he wouldn't know what to do with!

Thanks for that reminder of my spending for the the last 16 years..................I think Rookies should go the way of the packers and be publicly owned. Shit just lie to me Zilla, make me think all these years there was some kind of benefit other than the countless spending on the crazy over priced cards (which mind u I never pull shit). Oh well what's a guy to do with his money.
I like the program Spider, send me a link and i'll give it a try. Anything that can help me obtain pics of my spartan crouch on the chin of Bunky or Zilla has got to be worth trying.

Fortunately for you Edge, games where you only have 3 kills shouldn't take up as much memory, so you should be fine!
