At first I thought it was no big deal, until I found out the dad was a preacher too.  It's sad really.  Even if you believe all that stuff, why make your kid preach it?  Can't they just be a kid?  They'll never get that time back.

I saw this on Dateline a while back. I was livid after I saw it. I understand wanting to teach your values to your kids, that's part of what your job as a parent is, but this? This is brainwashing.

Talk about brainwashing, what were you doing watching Dateline?  That's more garbage media not too far removed, IMO, from Fox News or the local scaremonger nightly news.

Megan had control of the remote control and was channel surfing. This channel flipped on right when the kid's preaching (screaming) at some people and I told Megan to stop on it. We both just stared at the TV with our jaws wide open. Don't worry, Ross. I don't get my news from TV. I don't get news anymore. I've crawled into a cave and just watch shadow figures as they play across the light from the fire behind me.

Bone, it was all in fun...The opportunity just presented itself! Everytime I get stuck playing with kids, it just reinforces that my children will NOT be allowed to participate in LIVE shenanigans EVER! Ross was the victim of 10 year old Yo Momma jokes... Pretty disturbing ones at that. On a serious note, where are the parents of these children? If my children were to ever talk the way half of these unsupervised kids talk, you would hear a scream followed by the sound of a headset flying across the room due the force of my hand on the back of their head! I actually ended up feeling sorry for the boy whose dad I was jokingly inquiring about. Apparently the Dad is not around. He did seem to have fun with our teasing and even asked to party up afterwards. Hopefully Dateline does not show up at my house.... I recently read an news article talking about some guy who was arrested for stalking a 15 year-old girl he met on Halo 3. He was driving by her house honking while sending threatening text messages. It is probably better Bone never bought an XBOX 360....
