Well before I put out retarded names, I'm going to have to call dibs: if we have a boy, it's going to be Logan Jared Johnson. I've been keen on that name since before I even met Heather (ask Roche). Logan is a family name: my great grandfather was Jesse Logan Johnson, my grandfather was Ernest Logan Johnson, and my father is Jared Logan Johnson. I'm the only one without a Logan in his name. Also Jared is my father's mother's maiden name and my middle name.
As for girls' names, we haven't made any final decisions on any yet, but the contenders are Emma Noelle and Lauren Elizabeth. No special meaning attached to either one.
No name stealing, bitches!

You know, I told Roche that I was going to name my first born male Jack, and my first born female Emily. Now Roche denies it but I assure you that unoriginal bastard my idea.

Heather was also very keen on Emily but is abstaining due to Roche's appropriation.

I'll put my names on dibbs too: Two I am thinking of are
Ross Johnson Wants To Be Spider-man Heiss
Or
Tony Myers Likes Thai Ladyboys Heiss
Ross, I am wagering that Heather picked out the girls names. Can't picture you even coming up with the name Lauren, much less Noelle.

From my experience, if you go about tellin everybody the names you've got picked out, you end up regreting it. We picked a name and didn't tell anyone until the day our daughter was born. Otherwise there's always someone who has some opinion about something. They'll drive you crazy with stories about why you should or shouldn't name your kid this or that.
Besides that, we put the condition on ourselves that it had to be a name that sounded the same in English and en Español and of course one that we both liked. We ended up picking Nora out from a line of movie credits.
Don't forget about Fandango, Will. That was always your restaraunt reservation moniker.

I understand what you are saying Creeko, however I think I have good reason for wanting to share our name choices with others. I currently know 13 other ladies that are expecting! I do not want one of them to "steal" our choices. I don't feel that I could name my child the same as one of my friends or acquaintances, especially one that is due within months of me. So, since there are a lot of people that will be choosing names in the next several months, I want to get dibs on my favorites.

Ross - remember, whatever you do, don't name your child Aswipe.

What I'm gunnin' for if we have a son: Jack Jack

Bert - Logan is Bad Andy's kid's name! And don't think just because we're having a daughter that Jack Jack is up for grabs!

Well, that can't deter me. Besides, it's official now, there's no going back: I give you www.loganjohnson.org - it might not be working everywhere in the world yet as it's less than 24 hours old and DNS changes propogate slowly.
Anyway, clearly I'm getting an early start on setting this kid up for a life of nerddom.

I really think Lohan Johnson sounds better but who am I? Or what about Lopan from big trouble in Little China.

Thanks. I wanted to get some sweet movie-trailer-style voiceover going, but that could be considered a tad overboard...
