Yes, Hitchens' book is on my next-to-buy list. I've seen him commenting on CNN about Falwell and it was in a similarly hilarious vein. Hitchens isn't quite as sweet IMO as Dawkins or Harris, but I still largely agree with him in these matters. I'm looking forward to his book.
I have to say, though, that the opening sentence of that Slate article had me laughing out loud and showing it to my coworkers:
The discovery of the carcass of Jerry Falwell
on the floor of an obscure office in Virginia has almost zero
significance, except perhaps for two categories of the species labeled
"credulous idiot."
