This is from a guy who used to work for my old company, BEA, but now works for Google - he's a fairly prominent guy in the software industry, and someone showed me this from his weblog.

It's an essay on how reason and inquiry are so important yet are being given a bad rap these days. Good stuff.

Nice blog. Reminds me of the latest issue of Free Inquiry magazine, which analyzes how secularism is quickly deteriorating... good, meaty stuff. (By the way, I subscribed to both that mag and Skeptic Inquirer for $40 here: http://www.secularhumanism.org/ - always good reading.)
