PlayStation 1 Emulator on Xbox!
Entered on: May 12, 2003 10:21 AM by Jackzilla
It's true folks -- it's called PCSXBOX. I got it last night (its on the xbox lab site) and for an initial release it works pretty good! I just got done playing Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo and Twisted Metal 2... on my ZillaBox!

Anybody got some favorite PSone games? My absolute favorite would have to be Twisted Metal (mostly 1 and 2... 2 being the best). I wish they'd do an updated Xbox version -- it would be SWEET!

I saw this as well (and began downloading it) this morning. Only thing is, I don't have any PSX games, nor do I know which ones are any good. How about hooking me up, JZ?

The only thing is the PS1 games take up about 500 meg on average... that's like a medium/small Xbox game! So I won't have too many on the ZillaBox. Pretty cool to have though. Fatty will probably want Metal Gear Solid on there just for shits and giggles.

I never played MGS! In fact, I totally forgot about that, I was on the verge of buying a PS1 just to play that game! Thanks for reminding me. Okay, I want that one. Do you think I can find it online or should I get it from you?

Actually, I never had it (or played it). This pre-dates the Zilla/Fatty gaming duo. You'll have to either find it online or get it at Funcoland... what are PS1 games used? 5 bucks maybe?

I've got a few PS1 games. Metal Gear Solid being one of them. It is pretty sweet. I also have Siphon Filter as well. I'll wrap em up and send them if you want. I have a few others that I can't even remember. They're all in a box somewhere. I'll check and see what I've got.

Zilla - have you gotten Wolfenstein yet? I think I'm going to end up renting that one, my local video store has it but it's rented out a the moment. Other means are proving fruitless...

Rosster - I'm trying for Wolfenstein too. It's for rental (but out) here too. My buddy Bob has a buddy that has it...

It's apparently awesome on Xbox Live (and thus XBConnect I would think). I believe System Link is limited to one player per box (thus, 4 boxes required for 4-player mode). Definately gotta check that out.

I can't believe Roche hasn't coerced you into sending him a Matrix DVD-R thru the mail. I can sense his longing for it from here!

Don't give him any ideas - YOU'RE his connection, not me. :) What's your status on that one, anyhow?

The idea of each player having a full screen on Wolf is awesome. That would put it in league with PC games, and makes it much harder to cheat. And by the way, Wolfenstein was pretty sweet for the PC. I'm hoping for a small reprieve from Halo during the next gaming session once Wolf is in da house. That would be (I assume) when/if The Bone makes his appearance.
