I don't know if you guys know who Justice Scalia on the US Supreme Court is, but he's a horrible right-wing zealot who freely admits to not respecting a separation of church and state in this country. This petition asks Scalia to recuse himself (as he did for Newdow's Pledge case) from all upcoming church-state cases.

Dude, I am only number 175. I was hoping for a higher number than that! Are these internet petitions even valid? I hope they don't send me crap in the email. Anyways, I have done my civic duty as a newly registered voter.

Guess this won't be changing much. :) But hey, these kinds of online petitions helped put pressure on George Lucas to putting out the prequels sooner than he otherwise would have, so you never know.

This is an excellent example of internet dumbassery. What the fuck - this ain't 'Field of Dreams' - If you build it, they will come. How many friends does this guy have - 2? In our little group the message went around the frickin world. You think he had the idea with some other people, so they should have a good solid base of 200-500 people to email. OK, so maybe we got the first day, I'll check back and see what has happened in a few more days.
