Okay folks, the new Jackassery Search Engine is online. Give it a whirl. Note that now, you don't need to type an exact phrase to get a hit, though if an exact match is found, it will be ranked higher and thus be higher in your hits list.     Let me know what you guys think.

Sweet! And by sweet I mean totally flips out and kicks ass!     741 + two more makes 743 entries with the word sweet - make that 744!     SWEET!

Ross - I think the new Search Engine needs just a little tweaking to make it all that it should be. For instance: When one does a search for "sweet" (747) it should include variations with any number of E's (i.e. "Sweeeeet!" or perhaps "SWEEEEEEEEEEEET!"). Wouldn't that be sweet (748)? Get back to work.

Perhaps you're right. That would be fuzzy matching, which someone could devote his entire PhD in computer science to. Somehow I don't think you guys pay me QUITE enough for that.

By the way Jack, I know how to address your issue, I should have remembered, and I need to put some searching instructions on the search page. But to find your Sweeeets and whatnot, you can search on "swee*t" (without the quotes). The new system accepts wildcards. So that will find anything matching 2 or more e's in sweet.

By the way everybody, be sure to check out the News Archive page:     http://www.jackassery.com/archive.jsp     as it now is broken out into pages! Finally! The pages still don't load as fast as they could but the speed should be somewhat improved at least.
