Here is probably the most lucid interview with Mike Tyson I've seen.

In an interview with the New York Daily News (published Sunday), Mike Tyson sat down with Tim Smith and shared some of his thoughts on Boxing, the Division, his life and more.
Here are some of Mike's thoughts:

On his desire to box/train:
-Mike said he likes to fight, that fighting is easy. The hard part was to get desire to train. He said training was hard.
-He went on to say that he felt good when he trained because it felt like he was doing something with his life, but sometimes he lacks the enthusiasm.

On what the media says/thinks about him:
-Tyson said he doesn't care. That the media is full of vendettas and grudges against him.

Maturity:
-He thinks he has matured over the last few years. He says everything has happened for a reason, and life's lessons are priceless.

On the Heavyweight Division:
-He said he wants to be a champion again, and by looking at the Division right now he knows he can. He said the hard part of becoming a champion is being and staying in the "proper path" to become one.

On the Klitschkos:

-Mike said if he can't beat those guys, he might as well retire! -That the Klitschkos are making boxing look bad.
-He picked on Vitali, saying he was "horrible". That when he beat Sanders and won, he acted as if he beat Muhammad Ali.
-He said his sparring partner (Nate Tubbs) KO'd Sanders in 2 rounds, when Sanders was in shape, not while he looked like Moby Dick (lol).

His current economic status (pissing away $300M):
-He blames people he trusted in his life for his "being near broke" now. He says it could've been more (than $300M), but he's glad it wasn't because it would've "made him look like a bigger jackass".
-He said he now lives in a small 100K 2br house and he's very happy there. He only has two cars now, and is in the process of selling them (!).
-He said he's getting close to "taxicab status" (wow), and he doesn't go out much, but he doesn't miss any of it (cars, parties).

On his children:
-Mike said he goes and sees them. All he wants to do now is secure his children's future. He went on to say he was a sucker with his kids; that he tried to be tough with them and discipline them, but after yelling at them, he'd give them what they wanted.

On Don King, and the possibility of working with him again (King controls the belts):
-Tyson said everything is possible. He's working on forgiveness, life is too short to hold grudges. He want's to manage his life properly which is something he's never done.
-He said he won't gain anything by holding sour grapes or wanting to hit the guy over the head (hmm). That when he said "he'd never fight for King again", he was "talking with a lot of emotion". He doesn't know if he'll fight for King again, but all he wants is to secure his kids' future.

On trust:
-Mike Tyson doesn't think he'll ever trust again. That in order to trust someone you have to trust yourself.

Tyson is looking god for a comeback. He's training with Freddie Roach, one of the most respected trainers in boxing.

The only problem is that even though New Jersey granted him a license, the asshole governor won't let him box in any of the state's venues.

I'd love to see Tyson get back to his old form if it's possible. There just aren't any interesting heavyweights out there right now besides Tyson. I'd like to see Tyson knocking dudes out like in his prime, now that would be sweet.
