It finally happened - my clock radio alarm went off this morning, and as usual, I heard talking, but this time it was ABOUT Howard Stern rather than from the horse's mouth. It was some new fucking show with the most vanilla, dumb, safe DJ's I've ever heard, talking about how the people have spoken, and they don't want Howard's filth anymore. What was funny was that every caller called up to disagree with them. Clueless fucking imbeciles.

It appears that Howard quit his job with Inifity Broadcasting. I did see this yesterday from The Smoking Gun.

So it looks like he might be gone for good. His website isn't coming up, but it's probably flooded with requests. I'll put up some links when I find out what is happening. It appears that the religious right is winning this battle, folks.

Holy shit, I guess I'm a gullible fuck. I turned the radio back on to gross myself out some more, and it was an April Fool's joke! I totally fell for it. And I almost said in my original message "no, this is not an April Fool's joke." I'm glad it was.... but I feel stupid...

April Fools pranks suck.
My brother called this morning to tell us that he was at the new house this morning and the new TV we just bought and dropped in there yesterday was GONE! April Fool's! Ha! Funny. Not.
I still have people coming to Rookies and asking when the Alex Ross WONDER TWINS graphic novel is coming out. Wizard magazine reported he was working on that in an April Fools issue a couple years ago. The report was official looking. They had previews of some of the art (by Alex Ross) and a quote from Ross defending the project: Something like "Dammit, the Wonder Twins can touch people."

Check out Suprnova for a bad April Fool's joke. Also www.skepdic.com (the Skeptic's Dictionary) has one of the most transparent jokes I've seen in a while.

As soon as I saw they bought a satellite, I knew they were full of shit. If they had the money to buy a satellite, they'd be rollin in a Lear jet, 20 young nubiles deep, and a couple 64 packs of beer! Instead of running a pirate software site.
